Monica Dever

Associate Attorney

Monica joined the Costello Ginex and Wideikis team in 2025. Her practice includes a variety of general negligence, automobile, and premises liability matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Monica worked on personal injury matters including wrongful death, premises liability, auto, and a wide range of other cases representing clients on both the plaintiff and defense side of litigation. She also worked on Civil Rights Section 1983 actions in federal court representing governmental clients.

Monica received her Juris Doctor graduating cum laude from the Cleveland State University College of Law, where she externed at the Ohio Supreme Court and the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office. While in law school, Monica received the CALI Excellence Award in First Amendment Law and Legal Writing: Business Deal. She was involved in the Women’s Law Students Association, Peer Mentor Program, and the Environmental and Energy Law Society. Monica completed her undergraduate degree in Environmental Science at Loyola University Chicago. Monica worked in the University’s Biodiesel lab and contributed to the EPA funded research publication Anaerobic Digestion for A Zero Waste Urban Campus.

In Monica’s free time she enjoys exploring Chicago and visiting her family in Ohio.
