Sam Rodewald
Associate Attorney
Sam is a member of the general defense and flat fee teams at CGW, where he handles a variety of cases involving premises liability, negligence, automobile, and construction injury matters. Sam also assists with our firm's commercial litigation team and has defended claims for breach of contract, commercial subrogation, defamation, and other matters involving corporate liability.
Sam began working at CGW in 2022, where he worked as a law clerk throughout his final two years of law school. During this time, Sam assisted attorneys on a wide range of case types, often taking a primary role drafting motions for summary judgment and motions to dismiss.
Sam received his J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law in 2024 and was accepted into Loyola's Advanced Mediation Advocacy Practicum, where he mediated live cases concerning employment disputes. He received his Bachelor's degree in Political Science and History from Marquette University, where he graduated cum laude. During that time, Sam was also accepted into Marquette's Les Aspin Center for Student Government, where he spent a semester interning for a congressman in the House of Representatives on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C.
In his free time, Sam enjoys attending Cubs and Blackhawks games as well as exploring Chicago, which he has called home his entire life.
