Since Shipra joined the firm, she has focused her practice on litigation with an emphasis on personal injury defense in the areas of premises liability, sports and recreation, construction negligence, and transportation. Shipra has extensive experience in all phases of litigation from discovery through trial. She has defended a diverse group of clients including construction companies, children activities' facilities, recreational and sports facilities, day care centers, health clubs, not-for-profit organizations and many other individual and business clients. Shipra has developed an exceptional track record at Costello Legal, and maintains an average of resolving 20% of her cases without her client paying any settlement or indemnity.

Shipra is also involved in the firm's appellate practice and has worked on appeals for commercial, contractual, and tort litigation. Shipra has won multiple motions to dismiss based on a variety of reasons including exculpatory clauses in liability waivers. She successfully wrote, argued, and won in the Third District Appellate Court after a plaintiff appealed a grant of summary judgment. Shipra specializes in leveraging the writing process to achieve great results for her clients, and enjoys using dispositive motions, appellate work, and other motion practice to earn quick resolutions for her clients prior to trial.

Shipra graduated magna cum laude from DePaul University Law School in 2015 and was awarded Order of the Coif, while earning three CALI awards for obtaining the highest overall grades in Property, Evidence, and Tort Remedies. While in law school, she participated in DePaul's Appellate Moot Court Society honing her oral argument skills and was an editor of DePaul's Journal of Art, Technology, and Intellectual Property. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from The Ohio State University.
